From learner to business owner: Jen’s story

One of the most rewarding parts of our work is seeing how people take what they've learned and use it to make a meaningful difference in workplaces across the UK.

Jen joined our accredited training with a wealth of senior HR experience and a clear vision for the future. Since then, she has gone on to establish ThinkDIF, supporting organisations to build more neuroinclusive workplaces through consultancy, coaching, workplace needs assessments and manager training.

We were delighted when Jen shared her reflections on her learning journey with us. In her own words, she talks about why she chose Right Resources, how the programme shaped her thinking, and the impact it has had on both her confidence and her business.

We're incredibly proud to have been part of Jen's journey and are pleased to share her story below.

When I decided to start my own business in 2024, I knew I wanted to specialise in helping organisations create workplaces where neurodivergent people could genuinely thrive. I brought years of senior HR experience with me, but I also knew that experience alone wasn't enough. I wanted to deepen my knowledge and learn from people who were true specialists in neurodiversity.

That's when I found Right Resources.

Looking back, enrolling on their course was one of the best investments I made in myself and my business. I expected to gain knowledge, but what I hadn't anticipated was how much it would challenge my thinking and change the way I approached my work.

The training gave me practical, evidence-based insight into neurodiversity that I could immediately apply with clients. It helped me move beyond simply understanding neurodivergence to thinking about how organisations can create genuinely neuroinclusive cultures, systems and working practices.

The impact on my business has been significant. Since completing the course, I've expanded my services to include workplace needs assessments, neuroinclusive consultancy, coaching and manager training. Inspired by what I learned, I also developed the Neurofriendly Pledge, which supports organisations in taking meaningful, achievable steps towards becoming more neuroinclusive. Seeing businesses commit to continuous improvement rather than striving for perfection has been incredibly rewarding, and I'm proud that so many organisations have signed up and are making positive changes.

Perhaps the biggest lesson I took away is that creating inclusive workplaces isn't about having all the answers. It's about being curious, listening to neurodivergent people and continually learning. That mindset has become the foundation of everything I do through ThinkDIF.

What also sets Right Resources apart is that they offer so much more than a training course. I found practical guidance, ongoing support, mentorship and a network of like-minded professionals who genuinely want to see each other succeed. As someone building a business from the ground up, that community has been invaluable.

Today, ThinkDIF continues to grow, supporting organisations across the UK to become more inclusive for neurodivergent employees. Looking back, I can clearly see that the knowledge, confidence and connections I gained through Right Resources played an important part in making that possible.

If you're working in HR, consultancy, leadership or simply want to make a meaningful difference in workplace inclusion, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their training. It gave me far more than knowledge; it gave me the confidence to turn a vision into a thriving business that's making a real difference every day.

Jen,
ThinkDIF
